For the past 10 years, I’ve had one rule for meetings: if you bring the poop, you must bring the scoop.
This has helped me create a culture of accountability with my team.
Even if the proposed solution to a particular problem wasn’t necessarily the solution we ended up implementing, the fact that the person bringing up a problem had thought of a solution, reinforced our main cultural value: constant iterative improvement.
